Darlene Bellmore - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)

Darlene Bellmore was born in Nelsonville, Ohio and moved to Kingman at age 7. She currently works full time at KRMC Hospice. She became an LPN in 1974 then graduated  from Mohave Community College in 1981 after being accepted in the first RN Program. Darlene has worked at Kingman Regional Medical Center since graduation. She has worked in a wide variety of medical/nursing care from ER to ICU. In 1986 she was involved in the opening of the KRMC Cancer Clinic. In 2000 Darlene took a course in Legal Nurse Consulting, subsequently passing the National Certification for LNC. She was accepted into the first Forensic Nursing Program offered by the County Attorney's office and has been an on call Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for Sarah's House ever since.
Krista Yokley - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)

Krista Yokley joined the nursing team at Sarah’s House in 2007.  Born in San Diego, Ca, she moved to Kingman at the age of 12.  She received her registered nursing degree at Mohave Community College in 1985.  She worked at Kingman Regional Medical Center for 5 years after graduation in pediatrics and medical/surgical.  She spent 15 years as clinical nursing administrator in out-patient hemodialysis.  She lives in Kingman with her husband Jon.  Together, they have 3 children, 2 dogs and 4 cats.

Alison Handl - Administrative Assistant

Alison has always had a love for children.  She volunteered as a teacher’s aid in her children’s school in England and that soon led to working with children with special needs.   After moving to Kingman, her desire to help children eventually led to her current position at Sarah’s House.

Krystal Carey - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)

Krystal Carey has lived in Arizona for most of her life and has resided in Kingman since 2006.  She has been a registered nurse since 2005 and is currently working on her Master's of Science in Nursing degree along with her Family Nurse Practitioner certificate at University of Phoenix.  She will graduate November 2010.  After graduation, she will be working in the area of family primary care.  Krystal’s nursing background includes emergency, flight, prison, and geriatric.  She currently works as a clinical nursing instructor for Mohave Community College and The Lingenfelter Center.  Krystal reports that she enjoys being at Sarah's House as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) because, “it gives me an opportunity to give back to my community."

Melissa Sullivan  - Medical Director/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE)

Melissa Sullivan Is a native of Tucson, Arizona and completed both her Bachelors and Masters degrees In Nursing at the University of Arizona.  She has worked in various areas of nursing including med/surg, cardiac, orthopedics, pediatrics, labor and delivery/postpartum, and trauma.  She has been a nurse for eight years and a family nurse practitioner for three.  She particularly loves caring for young children and young women, although she feels blessed to serve all ages.  Together with her best friend and colleague, they have recently started their own family practice, Sunshine Canyon Family Healthcare. 

She has been married to her childhood sweetheart for nine years (they met at church camp In Williams, AZ when they were eight and nine years old).  She has two beautiful boys, aged four and ten months, that are the light of her life.  Her hobbies are Taebo and Turbo Jam, as well as scrapbooking and she loves being active in her church and ministry.

Jean Jackson – Counselor/Case Manager

Jean relocated to Kingman from California where she worked for Mental Health Systems in Indio. Prior to that, she worked as a case manager for emancipating foster youth with Casey Family Programs in Pasadena. Jean has worked with diverse populations including children, teens, families, the homeless, and former drug and alcohol abuse clients. Although her formal education from Cal State Los Angeles is in the field of law, Jean has worked in the social services arena for many years. “I enjoy helping people get their lives back on track”, she says. “Everyone has difficulty at some time in their life and needs a smile and a hand. I look forward to assisting the clients of Sarah's House to start putting their lives back on track.”

Rebekah Bacoka – Intake Coordinator

Rebekah Bacoka has resided in Kingman since 1996.  She has been an instructor at Mohave Community College since 2003 in the Adult Education and Leisure Studies Dept.  Rebekah serves as a board member at Kingman Advice and Aid Pregnancy Center.  She also volunteers as a primary care giver at Manzanita Preschool nursery.
